Bicyclist Hospitalized After Getting Hit By Car On Route 6N

A bicyclist was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car on Route 6N, near Carmel.

The incident occurred Thursday afternoon near the county sand pile after a person driving a vehicle struck the bicyclist, said officials.

Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire, EMS, and Fire Police were dispatched, along with Carmel Police.

The driver of the vehicle was "shaken up" but not injured. The bicyclist was transported to Hudson Valley Hospital with minor injuries.
